Here are some guidelines for posting to the forum..

DO be aware that this forum IS international
Some posters may be using a language that isn't their native tongue.

DON'T immediately criticise others for their misuse of grammar etc.
Could you express yourself perfectly in Italian, for example?

DO treat every post as though you were sending a copy to your boss, your mother-in-law, or your worst enemy.
It's possible that one of those very people could be reading the same Forum.

DON'T make authoritative statements or quote statistics about various
casting organisations without proper research. Many times rumour
is exactly that, just rumour.
In fact, in such cases, I urge people to address the moderators to
see whether or not a post is appropriate.

DO remember that no one can hear your tone of voice or read
your body language as you type.

DO read and re-read your own articles before you post them.
Could they be mis-interpreted? If in doubt, try to make your meaning clearer to avoid causing confusion or bad feeling.

DON'T rely on the ability of your readers to tell the difference between serious statements and sarcasm.

DON'T feel you only to post casting related topics.
However, please pre prepare the reader by inserting a OT: or
"off topic" in the subject line.

Please DO use multimedia content to describe detail.
However, please be aware that multimedia eats bandwidth.
We are starting to receive help from various sources to aid
with the continued use of multimedia as a descriptive tool.

I would ask that posters with links to video content include the word
"video" in the subject header. This makes it easier to search the
database. Use perhaps "Video: My Pendulum cast"
That is both descriptive and tells the reader its a pendulum cast.
When, in months gone by, we hit search with "video AND pendulum"
It'll be found far easier.

IF you have a problem with a post.
Do NOT answer in anger, many people read the site. Instead, ask
one of the moderators to look at the post, where, until a situation
is rectified, the offending or inaccurate post can be moved into a
"ghost forum" where it will lay until any issue is resolved.

You DO have freedom of opinion and of speech, but only as long
as it does NO harm to any other person alive or passed.

I appreciate most of you apply by these rules anyway.
I never wanted to enforce any such rules, but maybe it is
time to keep better control over such things.

Please keep an eye on this post from time as things may be
added or modified on this list.

I don't think this should detract from the enjoyment many have had
on this forum, so please continue to contribute and enjoy moderated
but still basically free discussion.

Thankyou.

owing to massive !! amount of spam and spam bots trying to register and blocking the registration process, i have decided to lock the forum.
This doesn't mean you can't use it, it means.......

If you want to register, you'll have to do it by hand and I'll add you manually.

see the first post for the email address.
