OK...

Look, this is a serious post so take note:

On the decision of ALL the moderators and myself we have decided its high
time we had some form of infringement system and even ban system.

We never wanted this to happen and many of you never breach rules.
However, some heated debates get totally out of hand and personal.

This is now going to STOP !

We are going to work on a 3 strikes and you are OUT !

Whether or not YOU choose to read the forum rules is upto you but WE will
be enforcing them with renewed vigour.

You will be warned and yellow cards issued.

3 yellows and you are OUT

Yellows will be cumalitive and last 1 month.

1 red and you are OUT

Reds mean a temp ban or in bad cases, total ban.
a number of reds accumulated will signal to moderators that you have
no respect for forum rules and thus, you will be sidelined or
banned for a specified period decided by the mods.

You have the right to debate any infringement with the mods.
Any discussion of infringements on the forum are to seen as an infringement of the rules.

So, read the rules and be aware.

This sport needs good PR, not the type of thing that frequently rears its ugly head.

Its self destructive.

Other forums may allow it but...

We won't.

Thankyou for your time.

I do not wish to seem provocative. However when a subject is broached around casting rules it leads to a huge surge in hits on this and another site.
Some who feel a threat from changes per sae allow themselves to be dragged in to a slanging match. Sometimes all sight of objective discussion is lost in a barrage of abuse. However I believe that on this site most of the banter is in the main tongue in cheek.
I do hope that we will still be able to have freedom to express our individual views with out fear of reprisal.

there is no problem over the freedom of expression to a certain degree. all we ask is that personal attacks do not happen as they have in the past.

Bad language will also not be tolerated. remember there are juniors out there who also like to cast and learn.

this site is a great learning tool so lets keep it that way.

tongue in cheek stuff will be fine, so long as that is the level it stays at.

of course.

but, in the case of dealing with personal attacks etc or stuff that you feel
uncomfortable with...

pass it along to a mod.

many sites have come and gone over the years. tons of stuff lost because
of the inappropiate actions of the few.

Not here.

I agree that banter and know 'slaggings' can be accomadated, but ALL must remember that we are on a world forum.
Man to man or group to group exchanges in what ever context does not help the forum.
If you have a direct view [out of the general forum interest], do it by PM or Email, direct to those concerned, AND not involve the rest of the forum and any others involved in hyperspace.
